Accessibility BroekerVeiling

Doing and experiencing are central to a visit to Museum BroekerVeiling. Also for visitors who are less mobile or in wheelchairs. Museum BroekerVeiling is an experience for the entire family! Are you in a wheelchair or would you like to bring a walker or a buggy? No problem. Museum BroekerVeiling is fully accessible by wheelchair.

Wheel Chair users
A boat trip and a visit to the auction, all parts of the museum program are fully wheelchair accessible. Our covered boat is equipped with an elevator and has room for 6 wheelchairs. Participate in the auction in your wheelchair? In our auction room we have 8 dedicated auction buttons for wheelchair users. Be careful or you might end up with 65 kilos of onions!

Wheelchair route
The BroekerVeiling is over a century old, which shows in the many small elevations and thresholds. For wheelchair users we have a special wheelchair route to the auction room. The route crosses the beautiful museum garden.

Toilets
We have 3 wheelchair-accessible toilets at the museum. Two of which are situated in the entrance building called ‘De Toekomst’ (translated: The Future), one of which is in the boat halls ‘Het Verleden’ (translated: The Past).
